Cooperating/External Professors
Ann-Kristin Reitmann holds the Junior Professor Chair “Behaviors, Perceptions, and Societal Transformations” at the Centre de Recherche en Économie & Management (CREM) and the Université de Rennes in France.
Previously, she was a postdoctoral researcher (Akademische Rätin a.Z.) at the Institute of Health Economics at the Leibniz University Hannover, to which she still is affiliated with. She holds a doctoral degree in Development Economics from the University of Passau and holds a Master of Science in Economics from the University of Cologne.
As an applied microeconomist, she uses experimental and quasi-experimental methods to address research questions related to sustainable development. She focuses on preferences and social norms, and their role in individual and collective behavior. Her research takes place in developing countries and in societies in transition, facing gender, health and environmental inequalities. She also works on impact evaluations of infrastructure projects (e.g., roads, water and electricity). Her work has been published in the Journal of Development Economics, the Journal of Environmental Economics and Management, World Development, and the Journal of Economic Psychology.
